Ms. Lesilen Jose (Trainer-Sales Associate) said, “COVID-19 is a respiratory illness ranging from a common cough and cold to severe, acute lung dysfunction, very similar to Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV).”

Ms. Lesilen did share some common symptoms of infection, such as shortness of breathing, fever, and cough. In more severe cases, she stated ‘the infection can lead to pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and as a result cause to death.

She gave some thumb rules for preventing the spread of infection, i.e. washing hands regularly at least for 20 seconds, covering mouth and nose especially when coughing or sneezing, and social distancing (keeping distance of 1or1.5 meter). She also recommended saying, “If you develop fever, cough, cold or in case of shortness of breathing; take early medical care.”

In a bid to end the informative session Mr. Puneeth V (Trainee, Sales Associate) concluded with a vote of thanks to one and all.
